A 250 watt meal halide fixture has a 20,000 lumen output, and the 4 lamp hi-bay substitutes with 4 F54T5HO lamps has the same output. However, only draws 216 watts.

6 Bay : A 400 watt metal halide fixture has a 36,000 intial lumen output which degrades to about 26,ooo lumens over time. The 6 - lamp Hi-bay substitute has 30,000 initial lumens, which may degrade to 28,000 over time. Power consumption of the 400 watt hi-bay is 460 watts, compared to the power consumption of the Hi-bay substitute at 360 watts which yields a savings of 22%.
